We have shared the bottle of the Ace of Spades with my
brother last month. Based on what we had, I actually do not understand what is
the hype around that beer. The look is nice, hazy orange with decent head that disappears
quickly. Aroma is a bit fade, some citrus and tropical fruits present there.
The same is with the taste. Everything including bitterness is not too strong,
aroma of citrus and fruits not too strong. Very proper, but certainly not great!
That wouldn’t be a bad thing to be a proper beer, but given
the price I have paid for that bottle it wasn’t worth it.
